AI Translation Scoring lets you check the quality of your translated text items directly in Ditto, so you can catch issues earlier and streamline localization review without leaving your workflow.
How translation scores work
Ditto evaluates each translated text item and returns a quality score. The score gives you a signal of how closely the translation matches the intent, tone, and meaning of the source text.

Prioritize review effort across large translation sets
Build confidence before shipping localized content
Scoring dimensions
Every variant is checked across five dimensions. When you expand More Details, you'll see which dimensions are flagged with an issue, along with a short note explaining what we found.
Accuracy: Does the translation say the same thing as the original? We flag meaning that's been changed, dropped, or added, along with brand names that shouldn't have been translated and text that was left untranslated.
Fluency: Does it read naturally to a native speaker? This covers grammar, spelling, punctuation, and whether the tone fits your product.
Terminology: Are key product terms and action words translated correctly and consistently? If you have locale-specific style guide rules applied, we check the translation against those rules.
Locale conventions: Are numbers, dates, times, currency, and units formatted the way people in that locale expect? For example, $1,234.56 should become 1.234,56 $ in German.
Structure: Is your overall copy structure preserved? We check that every variable in the source text still appears in the translation, and flag translations that are long enough to overflow or truncate in your UI.

Click the translation scoring icon next to the variant to calculate the quality of the translations. Expand More Details to get more information on the scoring assessment
