Give Ditto's Magic features a deeper understanding of your product, brand voice, and audience by adding AI context at the workspace or project level. This context improves the output of Magic Translate, Magic Edit, and Magic Draft so results feel on-brand without requiring heavy manual refinement.
How AI context works
Ditto's Magic features use context in a priority order. When more specific context is available, it takes precedence. Style guide rules takes highest priority, followed by any context set on the individual project, then the broader workspace context.

Add workspace-level AI context
Workspace context applies across all projects in your workspace. Set it once to establish defaults for tone, audience, or any other guidance you want Magic features to follow everywhere. Only workspace Admins can set workspace context.
Open Settings → AI
Enter your context in the provided field. Describe your brand voice, target audience, product domain, or any conventions Ditto should follow.
Add project-level AI context
Project context lets you tailor Magic feature output for a specific project – useful when a project targets a different audience, uses distinct terminology, or has a unique tone.
Open the project … menu and select AI context
Enter your context in the AI context modal. Describe anything specific to this project that should influence Magic feature output, then click Save

What to include in AI context
There's no required format. Write in plain language. Useful examples include:
Brand voice and tone: "Friendly and direct. Avoid jargon. Never use passive voice."
Target audience: "Enterprise IT admins with technical backgrounds."
Product or domain terminology: "We call our end users 'members', not 'users'."
Things to avoid: "Do not use exclamation points. Avoid phrases like 'easy' or 'simply'."
Localization notes: "Translate to formal German. Use sie, not du."
