Tags

Add tags to text items to provide more specific, nuanced context on the type of copy it is, such as Heading 1 or Button. Tags can also be used to filter your text in your project view on the web app. You can manage your tags in workspace settings.

Attach a tag to a text:

  1. Select the text items you want to add tags to

  2. Create or attach a tag from the drop down menu

💡 You can add multiple tags to a text item

Apply or clear tags across a mixed selection

When you select multiple text items that don't all share the same tags, the Tags field shows Mixed. Instead of hiding tags that only apply to part of your selection, Ditto shows them in the dropdown so you can apply or remove them from everyone at once.

Update tags on a mixed selection:

  1. Select multiple text items – if their tags don't fully match, the Tags field shows Mixed

  2. Open the tag dropdown. Tags applied to only some of the selected items show a dash (–); tags applied to all of them show a checkmark (✔️)

    1. Click a dash tag to apply it to every item in your selection

    2. Click a checkmark tag to remove it from every item in your selection
