Once copy is ready for feedback, Ditto makes it easy to route it to the right people, give reviewers full context, and track progress to final. This guide covers both sides of the review: how to request one and how to respond.
Step 1: Request a review
Notify your reviewer by assigning the text to them and updating the status. They'll get an email with a direct link to exactly what needs their attention.
Assign text to a reviewer:
Select one or more text items you’d like reviewed
Assign the text to the reviewer
Update the Status to In Progress
Leave a comment tagging the reviewer with any specific questions or notes
Step 2: Find your assigned copy
When you’ve been notified over email of a review request, you can click the link to get brought to exactly what needs your attention in Ditto.
View your assigned text:
Open the project in the web app
Filter by Assignee and Status
💡 Share the filtered URL with a reviewer to give them an instant, focused view of exactly what needs their attention — the filter state is preserved in the URL
Step 3: Review in context of your design flow
Switch to Frame view to browse copy screen by screen, following the design flow — useful for catching tone inconsistencies or reading copy in order.
Toggle to frame-based navigation:
Click the Frame view button in the top left corner
Navigate through your frames using the arrow keys
💡 For reviews that requires more visual context, run your review directly on Figma and use Ditto’s plugin to add your feedback
Step 4: Approve or send back
If the copy assigned to you can be approved, go ahead and change its status to Final and resolve any open comments. This will indicate to the rest of your team that this specific text item is ready for production.
Update the Status to 🟢 Final
Resolve any comments by clicking the checkmark in the comment box
If a copy needs some more work on, reply or write a new comment and assign it to the relevant teammate to notify them.
